Namari unveils expanded travel technology and travel service platform in Somalia

MOGADISHU — Somali travel technology company Namari has announced the expansion of its travel commerce platform aimed at supporting travel agencies, airline ticketing companies, travel distributors, and individual customers across Somalia.

The platform provides real-time flight search, fare comparison, booking management, ticket issuance, customer administration, and reporting tools through a unified digital environment.

Company representatives stated that the system was developed to help travel businesses improve efficiency, reduce manual processes, and strengthen operational control while providing better customer experiences.

Namari is also expanding its consumer-facing services, allowing customers to access flight booking support, cargo and logistics services, and visa application assistance through the company’s service channels.

The announcement comes as Somalia continues efforts to modernize its aviation sector. IATA recently launched a pilot of its Billing and Settlement Plan in Somalia, which is expected to support airlines and more than 300 travel agencies operating within the country.

Officials noted that digital innovation, improved connectivity, aviation-sector reforms, and customer-focused travel services are expected to contribute to continued growth in Somalia’s travel and tourism industry.
